We do take weekend bookings, and will consider evening bookings for special cases. However, the provision of transport always relies on the availability of our volunteers, and we have less available drivers on weekends and evenings.

A – All car drivers are volunteers and reimbursed at the rate of £0.45 per mile.  Client’s fares are set approximately in line with this: as a charity we aim to break even. We expect clients to pay the driver at the end of a journey unless previously arranged with our administrator. A client is responsible for any car parking charges incurred.

A – Most of our cars can transport a wheelchair in the boot/back seat but please specify this as a requirement when booking so that we can make certain when booking your driver. We also have our own Wheelchair-accessible car so that a client may be transported whilst occupying a wheelchair.  Our minibuses are equipped with tail lifts, so they can not only transport wheelchair users, but also anyone with limited mobility which might make using the step difficult. In both cases the office should be informed at the time of booking.  A risk assessment and inspection of the wheelchair must take place before a journey can be confirmed.
